Wilcox Academy of Early Learning closed out the month of March with full hearts, celebrating a meaningful season centered on literacy, connection, and community.

Throughout the month, we were honored to welcome an incredible group of leaders and partners who took time to read with our students, engage with our classrooms, and invest in the growth of our youngest learners. We extend our sincere gratitude to:

  • JP Morrell, New Orleans City Councilmember-at-Large

  • Jen Roberts, CEO of Agenda for Children

  • Meshawn Siddiq, Deputy Director of the New Orleans Health Department

  • Tifferney White, CEO of the Louisiana Children’s Museum

  • Kimberly Novod and the Saul’s Light team

Each visit created meaningful moments for our students—reinforcing the power of literacy, representation, and community presence in early learning environments.

As part of our commitment to building strong readers, every Friday in March, each child received a book to take home—helping to grow not only their personal libraries, but also a lifelong love of reading. At Wilcox Academy, we believe that literacy is liberation, and that access to books opens the door to endless possibilities.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this month so impactful. Together, we are nurturing readers, leaders, and dreamers—one story at a time.
